Steamed bituminous-coal based granular activated carbons 

Mainly used for drinking water & waste water & gas treatment in the form of regular or briquetted or acid-washed with mesh size: 4X8, 6X12, 8X30, 10X20, 12X40, 20X50….

Production process:

a. Carbonizing crude coal in shaft furnace;

b. Activating carbonizing material in SLEP shaft furnace;

c. Crushing activating material into granule and screening granule into different mesh sizes;

d. Removing stone from granular to increase iodine and decrease ash content;

e. Uniforming the carbons to meet the contract specification requirements and de-dusting;

f. Putting finished and eligible carbons into packages.

2. Granular by agglomeration

Production process:

a. Crushing the coal blocks into particle and then removing the particles mainly with ash content by water-washing;

b. Powdering the coal;

c. Pressing the coal powder;

d. Granulating the pressing material;

e. Carbonizing in rotary kiln and activating in SLEP shaft furnace;

f. Granulating and screening the activated material;

g. Uniforming the carbons to meet the contract specification requirements and de-dusting;

h. Putting finished and eligible carbons into packages.

3. Alkaline & acid-washing granular carbons

After Alkaline & acid-washing: Ash content <5.0% - 8.0%, Iron content <300 ppm, pH 6 - 8 or 5 - 7 and etc.;

Production process:

Alkaline-washing by NaOH solution with concentration of around 15% for around 8 hours at the temperature of around 100℃;

Acid-washing by HCL or H2SO4 solution with concentration of around 5% for around 8 hours at the temperature of 60 – 80℃;

Rinsing by tap water or distilled water for 5 – 8 times;

Drying on fluidized bed for 2 times to reach moisture <5%;

Sieving the dried carbons.
